Rocksmith is a new video game that is going to revolutionize the music learning process. It’s simple. Plug any actual guitar with an electric output jack into your gaming consol (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 or PC) using a provided quarter-inch-to-USB cable, and you’re ready to rock. Last Thursday was the launch party.

Representatives of Rocksmith were there to guide guests play the game. I played The Rolling Stones’ (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction and Velvet Revolver’s Slither. Hopefully, these classics will strike an interest in youth, and bring back the genre.

Performance by The Suburbians. They played originals as well as covers of featured songs from the game.

The Reason played a rad set too.
Thanks, Rocksmith!
