SiriusXM Indie Awards

Hey Everyone! This will be my last post about this year’s Slacker Week. My long weekend concluded with The Indie Awards. My favourite part of the evening was seeing Treble Charger performing American Psycho. It was one of my favourite tunes when I was around thirteen. I liked it because it was catchy, but I’ve grown a new love towards the song because I think the lyrics really speaks to current American culture: reality television and more specifically, Jersey Shore came to mind.

Jeff Leake did a great job hosting and all the performers were good fun!

A big thanks to Slacker Week for inviting me to do coverage on their music festival. I had an absolute blast discovering new bands/artists and I’m so thankful that I had the opportunity to see some of my favourite artists and groups. Thanks CMW! Until next year :)

Check out the results and what a fun night everyone had!
